Salary Range: $59,000 - $70,000

Overview of the role
The Associate, Accounting & Audits management will assist the Manager, Audits & Compliance with day to day requests for audits, including annual institutional audit, 403(b) Retirement plan audit, annual IRS 990 filing and conducting internal audits.

What You'll Do
- Audits & Compliance
- Support Manager, Audits & Compliance on preparing samples for annual institutional audit
- Prepare schedules for annual institutional audit
- Coordinate with payroll team in preparation of samples for retirement plan 403(b) audit
- Prepare schedules for annual IRS form 990 filing
- Conduct audit of internal controls and documents to ensure compliance with Trevor policies and Procedures
- Assist in developing a prescribed internal audit program
- Support management in the remediation and implementation of controls to address control deficiencies identified through internal or external audit testing
- Support implementation of special projects pertaining to audits and compliance
- Other relevant tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned
- Accounting
- Assist in the month-end closing procedures such as bank reconciliations and accrual calculations
- Assist Senior Manager, Accounting in day to day accounting activities
- Perform first-level reviews of financial documents, ensuring adherence with Trevor’s approval process
- Participate in the approval process for invoicing, as well as troubleshooting parts of that process when needed
- Help move repeat donors from manual checks to ACH
- Assist with establishing a document retention system
- Other relevant tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned
