Description

Virtual position to coordinate and facilitate support of tasks related to referrals, scheduling appointments, clinic visits, medication issues, telehealth support, release of information, daily billing, and must have flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays. Must be able to work remotely and manage general office needs. Must have designated work area in home and the ability to accommodate patient’s needs remotely.


This position is full time, benefit eligible with a pay starting at $15.00 per hour.  "Remote in Florida."  

  • Market telemedicine to potential clients such as hospitals, medical offices, home health agencies, etc.
  • Present telemedicine procedures and educate potential clients on the process of how to complete an appointment from home or off site.
  • Train potential clients on the technology and process of how to use telemedicine to complete their appointment from home or off site.
  • Available to all providers and patients for technology support with connecting via telemedicine.
  • Follow daily appointments to ensure a successful connection and completion of Psych E-Val or Follow Up.
  • Track prescriptions and confirm pharmacy has necessary documents in order to fill prescription in timely manner.
  • Contact patient prior to visit to confirm readiness for telemedicine appointment.
  • For office visits, collect patient vitals and enter into Lauris/Mend for provider prior to patient's visit.
  • Answer telephones in a professional manner, route calls and deliver messages. All messages must be responded to by end of business day.
  • Mark all appointments completed or no show/cancel.
  • Prepare daily billing to be submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provide support with tasks related to the coordination of care for clients (lab work, requesting of copies of records from other agencies). Send PCP forms.
  • Process record requests timely, to include 5339s.
  • At end of appointment, communicate with client to schedule 30 day or less follow up appointment in Lauris AND Mend. For follow ups greater than 30 days, provide call back date to client and enter pending appointment in Lauris.
  • At end of appointment, assure prescriptions are accurately entered into the electronic prescription system.
  • At end of appointment, request authorization for follow up appointment in Mindshare for BFP clients.
  • Responsible for medication prior authorizations, consents and resolving all issues with prescriptions including Appeals with the Insurance companies
  • Check for new referrals in all locations (email, Mend, fax, etc.) daily.
  • Enter new referrals into the client Electronic Medical Record, update information when assigned, and “defile” when staff notify.
  • Check Medicaid eligibility for incoming referrals and when making follow up appointments. If ineligible, work with referral source or client to determine alternate funding
  • Ensure provider schedules are filled.
  • Responsible for completing TANF documentation.
  • Provide support to the general office maintenance to include shared office space.
  • Interact with clients, caregivers, outside agencies, and other staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Abide by the ethics, policies and procedures, and professional standards of IMPOWER, Inc.
  • Assist Telehealth Lead and Director with special projects as needed.
  • Complete required Essential Learning trainings within designated time frame

Ensure that client information, funding, authorizations and pharmacies are being entered and updated into the electronic prescribing system prior to each appointment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast paced, medical office setting and working with a challenging clientele
  • Successful background screenings through local law enforcement, Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement, and FBI.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License (insurable under IMPOWER’s auto policy), proof of current auto insurance, and successful motor vehicle driving record backgrounds checks

Salary Description

$15.00 per hour; $31,200 annualized
