Overview
This position works in a team responsible for the overall design, maintenance, and reliability of datacenter, cloud, and client technologies including servers, storage, load balancing, cloud services, and user account management. This role will assist with management of software deployments, client, and server management, as well as applying critical security updates to impacted systems on a regular basis. This team member will work independently as well as collaboratively with other teams to resolve problems and develop proactive solutions.
This position has the ability to work fully remote. Team member must reside in one of our business operating states: Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Provide tier 2 support for all manner of technology issues that require careful, detailed analysis and problem management
- Identify trending IT support issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions
- Follow and contribute to documented processes for incident, problem, and change management
- Perform account management and security administration
- Assist with design, implementation, and maintenance of datacenter and Azure deployments
- Maintain Microsoft Autopilot device configurations
- Develop and tests software deployment configurations for new and upgraded installations to Windows clients
- Assist with responding to system outages at the direction of senior staff
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
- Assist with scheduled after-hours maintenance as needed on a monthly basis
- Develop a solid understanding of technologies supported
- Demonstrate increasing levels of competency under the assistance of senior team members and direction of leadership
- Adhere to department values, policies, procedures, methodologies, and security and / or confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Strong Organization, Communication, Collaboration, and Teamwork skills
- Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail and customer focus
- Calculated thinker who considers impact of decision-making
- Self-starter with desire to continuously learn
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Windows administration and support
- Experience with Active Directory, PowerShell, and Group Policy
- Experience with Azure IaaS, MS Intune, MS SharePoint, MS OneDrive, MS Teams
- Experience with Identity and Access Management systems
- Experience with VMware, Veeam
- Practical experience in a business role requiring strong customer service
