Certifications are not just pieces of paper, or badges you can put on your LinkedIn Profile. The purpose of obtaining a Certification is to build a skill, and in turn, market that skill to drive up your income, and qualify for more advanced job openings.
However, with so many Certifications available, which are the best to choose from? What if you don't know where to get started? Will they actually pay off?
We're going to cover 3 Certifications, or trainings which will either PUT you on a career path, help advance your current path, and increase your income.
#1: Salesforce Administrator Certification (CRT 101)
With this one, there are so many paths that you can go down with Salesforce certifications as a whole, but the entry-level one is called the CRT-101.
This Certification will put you on the path to become a Salesforce Administrator, or you can add it to your arsenal of skills, and increase your income in an existing role.
For international community, this is also a valid option as well. We can see here, there is demand across the globe for Trained Salesforce professionals.
Based on the statistics provided by Salesforce directly, you can see this is a healthy role to break into. It's important to note that there are 2 Certifications for Salesforce Administrators:
-> CRT 101: This is the "Entry Level" Salesforce Administrator Certification
-> ADX 201: This is the Advanced Salesforce Administration Certification
To start out, you will want to get the CRT 101, and eventually obtain the ADX 201 as well. From personal experience, we found the ADX 201 easier to obtain, the reason being at this point you will have quite a bit of experience with Salesforce.
Salesforce Trailhead offers free training modules which guide you on a path to obtain the skills needed to become an Administrator.
#2: HubSpot Academy Certifications
HubSpot is known for it's dynamic CRM, but did you know they also offer incredible free trainings through their HubSpot Academy?
HubSpot Academy offers over 18 Certification courses for you to choose from. Including Inbound, Inbound Marketing, and more.
Additionally, HubSpot Academy Certifications are Internationally recognized, and respected. This means when you earn one of their completion badges, your value will go up in the job market.
Once you complete a certification, you will earn a badge which you can embed on your LinkedIn Profile. This is a great way to improve your resume, and attract more Recruiters to your LinkedIn Page.
#3 Microsoft Excel Certifications & Trainings
Microsoft products are used across all levels of businesses worldwide. One of their most popular computer programs is Microsoft Excel.
You can obtain Microsoft Excel Certifications directly from Microsoft themselves, however, they are pretty expensive.
For starters - taking advantage of free resources & free certifications will suit you well. Gain some experience using the tool first, before going for the BIG certification.
LinkedIn Learning currently offers some free Microsoft Excel trainings. When you sign up, you gain access to unlimited trainings for 1 month.
When you are complete with the training, you will earn a badge which you can display on your LinkedIn Profile. You can use this to improve your resume, and attract more Recruiters to your LinkedIn page.
